Hi there! I am Dr. Sohi. I am very excited to be part of pet health care team/ family at Woodward Pet Hospital. I was born and raised in India and spent my childhood around family cattle. My love for animals lead me to veterinary school and I graduated with B.V.Sc & A.H. in 2001 from the prestigious Punjab Agriculture University in Punjab, India.
After working in mixed animal practice for about a year I decided to go back to the veterinary school for a Masters degree in Veterinary Anatomy and Histology. I researched on pre-birth development of lungs in Indian Buffalo. Then I decided to explore the world a little bit and moved to London, England and spent about year and a half as a working holiday maker. I enjoyed getting experience at a small animal veterinary clinic while exploring around Britain. I continued my journey further and landed in Mid-Western state of Iowa in 2006 at Iowa State University's Veterinary Teaching Hospital to pursue advanced clinical training for a year. I moved to Fresno in 2007 and decided to stick around. I worked at various practices in Madera, Fresno and Bakersfield until 2014 and decided to start my own venture by taking over Woodward Pet Hospital from Dr Cox.
I am committed to lifelong learning to help keep your furry babies happy and healthy to bring more joy and happiness to your families. I have special interest in dentistry, skin and ear diseases, internal medicine, surgery and pain management. If there is a new way to comfort your pet I am committed to find it.
I live in Fresno with my wife Mandeep. We share our home with a mischievous but adorable female dog Sasha, she is a rescue puppy. She adopted me the moment she met me. I enjoy personal fitness, traveling and long drives, listening good music, gardening, cooking, DIY projects and watching movies. I look forward to meeting with you at Woodward Pet Hospital.
Hi! my name is Phaedra. I have loved animals all my life. I was born and brought up in Bakersfield. I started riding and training horses when I was only 8. My grandmother raised dogs and I always helped her feed, train and groom them. I started going on ranch calls with my horse veterinarian as a teenager, and knew I wanted to pursue a career in this field.
I attended SJVC vet tech training program and graduated with honors and maintained a GPA of 3.9. Soon after graduating I started working full time. I enjoy working with my team at Woodward Pet Hospital. I have a saying as far as our patients are concerned.....when our clients walk through our doors, then their furry babies become our babies and we take care of them like our own until they go home!
I share my Fresno home with Sweet - a senior female spayed lab, Elsa - a cute, young spayed female Pitbull, and Kendel - very loving and happy neutered male Mastiff mix, and my husband Jeff. I look forward to meeting your babies at Woodward Pet Hospital.
